Welcome to the entrance exam for the Bachelor’s program Liberal Arts and Humanities at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University.

The entrance exam will start on Monday, June 12th, at 9:00 a.m. CEST and last until 5:00 p.m. CEST.

The admission exam comprises a summary of an English academic text and answers to three follow-up questions based on the provided text. All parts are to be written in English only.

In the summary part, you are asked to concisely outline the academic text's main points. Your summary should be well-thought-out, have a clear structure, and it should cover all the crucial lines of thought and arguments of the text. Do not insert any of your opinions, deductions, or comments into the summary, since a good summary contains only the ideas of the original text. On the other hand, you should write in your own words, paraphrase the crucial topics, and quote the text only where it is indispensable.

The follow-up questions should be based on your understanding of the text. Similarly, as in the summary part, using your own words is preferable.

Assessment will be based on the accuracy of the summary and answers.
